A little bit about me… I was born in St. Vincent and came to the UK when I was nine years old. I have always lived in London and have lived in Greenwich since the late 1970s.
I am a mother and grandmother and I strive hard to fulfil my goals. I hold a BTEC in Catering and a degree in both Education and Home Economics, as well as a BTEC Diploma in Counselling.
I am a mixed-media artist specialising in upcycling and exhibited my artwork in an exhibition in 2026 both the Woolwich library and the Woolwich Front Rooms....

A little bit about me… I worked as an administrator in Uganda, where I come from and also later when I arrived in the UK. I studied for a Diploma in Preparation for Higher Studies at Birkbeck, University. In 2019, I enrolled on a degree course in English and Creative Writing.
Since retiring, I have worked with my community through after-school clubs. I have planned and run African and contemporary dance, told folktale stories, and helped with administration and fundraising...

A little bit about me… I have been a teacher for over 20 years, primarily teaching Fashion, Design and Technology. Over time, other subject areas opened up for me, drawing on skills I had developed, including Spiritual Development, mixed-media Art, Crochet and Creative Writing.
I also have a clothing label called Little Huggins, designing and making clothing and accessories for children. Using the gift of my expansive imagination, I create fun and imaginative clothing that expresses play and adventure while still being practical...

A little bit about me… I am of Algerian origin and have lived in the UK since 1980, when I received a scholarship to come to the England to study. Whilst studying, I taught ESOL to refugees and asylum seekers, and in 1989 I gained my PhD in Linguistics.

A little bit about me… I am a retired NHS Administrator with over 30 years of service. My last job before retirement was for the mental health team in Wandsworth Prison, which was really fulfilling. I currently enjoy creative writing, gardening, spending time with family and travelling.

A little bit about me… In 2023, I went on the BBC. The show was called ‘DNA Family Secrets’, hosted by Stacey Dooley. The outcomes from this decision changed the trajectory of my life. I needed to give a voice to my deceased twin and find my Nigerian father.
In November 2024 I became the Plumsted Poet Laureate, which is a London based poetry event organised by Art Plumsted.
In the following year I set up a community-minded poetry evening called Partners in Rhyme, which continues to run throughout the year...

A little bit about me…I am still trying to figure out what this thing called life is. However, along the way I’ve been able to build my career within the criminal justice system, which I’ve really enjoyed.
