About Karen
Karen Huggins is a writer, poet, teacher, designer and creative facilitator whose work is shaped by creativity, heritage and lived experience.
Growing up in London within a close Caribbean family, Karen remained deeply connected to her Trinidadian heritage through family traditions, music, food and storytelling. These experiences helped shape her interest in identity, belonging, resilience and community.
Creativity has been a constant throughout her life. Whether working with words, fabric, glass or other forms of art and design, Karen believes creativity gives us a way to express ourselves, preserve memories and connect with others.
As a teacher and creative facilitator, she is passionate about encouraging others to discover their own creative voice. Through Scribes with Vibes and her creative writing courses, she has seen how writing can unlock memories, build confidence and bring people together through shared experiences.
